Original Studio Blue – is a fine Iron Oxide Pigment perfect for fresco painting. Fresco Studio Blue is an affordable fully stable blue for the fresco painting, lime plasters, cement and ideal for interior limewash. Just like all iron oxides it is inert to alkalinity of lime (CaHO2).

Original Studio Blue – a fine Iron Oxide Pigment perfect for fresco painting.

Original Fresco Studio Blue is an inexpensive stable blue for the fresco painting, lime plasters, cement and ideal for interior limewash (unlike ultramarine it will not break down if left in Ca[HO]2 suspension over several days, however it is not as UV stable as other iron oxides, hence interior). Just like all iron oxides it is not affected by the alkalinity of lime (Ca[HO]2). However it is not as UV stable as other iron oxides, hence interior.

For UV stability and exterior fresco/sgraffito work use Ultramarine Blue
