Gray plasterGrip Mix – Fine – 1 kg

Description

Gray Fresco plasterGrip Mix – Fine (#30 mesh size) – 1 kg bag, covers approximately – 5 square feet. It is designed for Grip Coat in fresco on panel or any other conventional primed/painted surface (drywall). Fine (#30 mesh size) – for thinner application – smaller panels and walls.

Mix with water into wet running plaster and apply directly over primed surface (panel or drywall). Prime with flat latex paint (any kind, I prefer exterior paint, you need strong water proof seal – I do not use gesso for that because it contains chalk). I use cabinet grade birch plywood for my panels.

This is just an undercoat (grip coat), offers extra strength but adds additional coat to application, it is NOT an Arriccio Coat – for fresco painting you will need to apply Arriccio Plaster Coat, prior to Intonaco Plaster Coat. Alternatively, to reduce the thickness and weight you can combine Arriccio and Grip coats into a single coat using Fresco PlasterWeld (provides regular adhesion, sufficient for movable panels, not recommended for ceilings).
